1. DAT professional format or Hard Disc based professional recorder. (You can Dub DAT s to CD for transcription)
2. Portable digital recorders
3. Mini Disc
4. Digital Video Camera with an external microphone (not with a built in one)(record the sound, not the picture)
5. Standard Size Audio cassettes.

An investment in either a WMA recorder or a Mini Disc recorder and a microphone is highly recommended.
